How to order semen

1. Call the office and check that semen from your choice of stallion is available.
2. Check the terms for that stallion and ensure you understand them. For example some are sold with semen for one mare only and others are sold to be used in as many mares as you choose. If you have found the terms confusing please feel free to call for further explanation.
3. Fill out and submit the order form below.
4. We will contact you for payment details.
5. Once payment has cleared we will arrange for the semen to be sent to the delivery address. We therefore recommend payment at least 1 week prior to you requiring it.
6. Once your mare is in foal, and on receipt of a veterinary certificate to confirm this, we will issue a covering certificate.
7. If, sadly, your mare is not in foal, please arrange for your vet to issue a letter confirming this as soon as possible after October 1st, if you are eligible for a refund.
8. We recommend that you keep us regularly updated with your progress so we may offer any help and advice from our vast experience. This especially relates to orders for chilled semen as we need to know prior to 9am if you will require the semen within the next 24 hours.
9. Please note that we do not insure semen. Although we have not had a problem to date you should be aware that once semen has been distributed it is no longer covered by us.
10. We will do our utmost to have the semen with you when you require it but please remember that stallions are animals and not machines – very occasionally they do not wish to perform (it has only happened to us once!) Nor can we be responsible for adverse weather conditions affecting delivery (again only once – fog stopped a plane from landing with our semen on board!) Obviously we will always try to do all we can to get your mare in foal.
11. Standard frozen semen delivery is Tuesday to Saturday inclusive. Standard chilled semen delivery is Tuesday to Friday inclusive. Sometimes delivery of chilled semen on a Saturday is possible, but it is not guaranteed and it can be very expensive. Please note we are unable to deliver chilled semen to your stud on Sunday or Monday.

European Bank Holidays

Please note we are unable to order semen on a German or Dutch Public Holiday, or arrange deliveries on a UK Public Holiday as the couriers do not operate on those days. The dates are as follows:

22nd, 25th, & 29th April.     2nd & 30th May.      29th August  2011.

German

22nd & 25th April.     2nd May.     13th & 23rd June.    15th August 2011.

Dutch
