Welcome to Equine AI, importers of chilled and frozen semen. Our aim is to offer a complete service for the supply of semen for your mare.

We are agents for Paul Schockemohle, Team Nijhof,  Harras Couvains, The Stallion Company and we are the UK’s sole agents for the VDL Stud and Zucht Hof Klatte, plus many others such as Quidam de Revel and Lux Z.

Equine AI was established in 2000 to promote and market quality stallions from all over the world in the UK through chilled and frozen semen. From 2007 Equine AI has been run by Carol Brown based at Willesley Equine Clinic, Byams Farm, Willesley, Nr Tetbury, Gloucestershire.  Chris Shepherd MRCVS is available to advise on all aspects of equine reproduction and in particular the suitability of your mare for artificial insemination.

In the last 10 years we have gained a great deal of experience which enables us to efficiently co-ordinate the ordering, importing and delivery of semen for your mare. We will liase with your vet/stud to arrange delivery of the semen at the appropriate time, track the delivery, and ensure that the correct Animal Health Papers are included. (Please see terms and conditions.)

Equine AI offer a wide selection of jumping and dressage stallions for our British based clients.  Please do not hesitate to contact us if the stallion you are looking for is not on our website. We will also source and help import semen from other stallions of your choice. 

If you are having difficulties deciding which stallion to choose, then let us help. Send a copy of the breeding page from your mare’s passport, together with a photograph, and details of which attributes you are seeking to compliment her, ie; temperament, paces, bone, jumping scope etc. It would also help to know whether you intend to breed for show jumping, dressage or eventing. We will then help narrow your search and suggest suitable stallions.

We now also include a limited number of UK based Stallions, representing various disciplines.

Over the years we have developed an excellent relationship with our european suppliers, and clients within the UK, for efficiency and quality of service.

For the 2012 stud season we are very excited to announce the arrival the Paul Schockemohle owned stallion Silvio I at Willesley Equine Clinic. Silvio I is the father of the amazing show jumper Shutterfly and the extremely popular stallion Sir Shutterfly. He will available for fresh and chilled semen at a stud fee of £650 + vat.
